1. Save the “before” information
Photograph the exact indicator and record both model numbers. Note the time, purifier fan mode, humidifier output, fill water, room humidity, and any cooking or cleaning happening nearby.

2. Pause the humidifier

5. Follow the mist path
With the appliances off before moving them, compare the actual setup with both manuals. Keep required clearances and choose locations where moisture cannot enter the purifier, settle on its filter, or wet nearby surfaces.
There is no single separation distance that suits every room and model. Moving the humidifier across the room may change what the sensor samples; it does not by itself remove the source of mineral emissions.
6. Follow persistent readings to the next clue
